Glimpse of Christmas - My present!!!

It's tomorrow!! It's tomorrow!!!! Can you Believe it???
Well I am happy because my very long awaited Rocker Recliner has finally arrived
Just in time for Christmas
I have been waiting over 4 months for it while my Hubby got his the day after we bought them.
You see I wasn't happy to have a black, brown, grey, beige...blah, blah, blah boring colour
I wanted a Red One!!!!
So in order to make it in my choice of colour
I had to Wait.
But the wait is over and here it is looking very Christmassy!!!

So this is where I am sitting right now typing this post and ahhhhh it is so comfy.
Merry Christmas Everyone and thanks for your comments and support over this past year.
Love Del xo

glimpse of Christmas - 2 Days to go.

I thought I would try out a pixie hat pattern - I thought it looked a bit funny until my girl
spied it and put it on.
I think it really suits her and she hasn't taken it off all day.
Nothing says Christmas like a Bowl Of Cherries...and this is ours.

Glimpse of Christmas - 3 Days to go.

Here we are on the final countdown to Christmas. I hope all your preparations for the big day are going well. I really think it is the little things with lots of thought that make the day special. The same goes for decorations - I love the things that the kids make.
This little reindeer was made a couple of years ago when my youngest girl was in pre-school.
I am surprised his little antlers have stayed in one piece!!!
It is so simple - A toilet roll, sparkly pom-pom, and sticks!!! But I think it is so cute.

This is a gorgeous Christmas Wall hanging made by my Mum - it is so clever! When I grow up I am going to have the patience to finish a project like this...He he he...

Secret Santa - 6 Days to go.

This year I put my hand up to participate in the Etsy Dust Team Secret Santa. None of us could actually wait until Christmas to open our gifts so we have been having fun sharing photos of the gifts as they are received. My parcel arrived yesterday from Bee @ Witchetty. Of course I had no idea she was my Secret Santa and the item she made for me was on her blog a few days ago - I loved it so much and wanted to buy it...all the time not being aware that she had actually made it for me!!! I will not keep you in suspense any longer.
Here it is.
TEA IS THE CUP OF LIFE
mixed media artwork

Bee has also let me know that this item was featured on Cuteable.com today
Her first feature - Fabulous!!

Our Secret Santa parcel was to include a gift, a card and a xmas recipe.
Bee sent me this adorable card which is a print of one of her other recent mixed media works

What to do for teachers presents?? Glimpse of Christmas

A glimpse of Christmas.9 Days to go!!!
It is the last day of School tomorrow and I wanted to give the teachers something a little special and of course handmade....because handmade Rocks!!
So I made a couple of little Christmas Stockings in lots of gorgeous Christmas fabrics. I even made a little Fabric Tag to write on. I was so pleased with how they turned out.
