To Market To Market to buy a.........

Well this week I am preparing madly for Mothers Day Markets. It is a pretty big Market in my town and there are so many wonderful handmade goodies to be found there. I am still new to the market scene so am trying to organise my stock to display well and come up with better ways to display in general - so if I am a little slack on blogging this week just picture me in a room somewhere trying to get it to all come together...
Any advice of how to display hair clips would be good, I have them on a card but not sure whether to just put them in a basket or what to do...

THRIFTY THURSDAY..

As I was a little late in getting my post done yesterday for Wishlist Wednesday I thought I would start a Thrifty Thursday. My idea behind this is to find things that have been made on the cheap from recycled, vintage, found items etc. If you want to start your own Thrifty Thursday jump on board and show me your finds. For my first week I have.................

Easter Rabbits for the Teacher....

My Dear Daughters age 7 & 9 wanted to take a little Easter pressie along for their teachers so with only one day of school to go and not much time we got crafting. We made these cute little facewasher rabbits. A simple idea but very effective - I hope the teachers like them when they hop onto their desks tomorrow.

So I had a crack at sewing....

Well maybe I should have a change of profession? On my last post I showed a gorgeous apron that I put on my wishlist and I got to thinking. Could I make one myself?? So this afternoon I had a little free time and some fabric doing nothing so I decided to give it a go. All you sewers out there block your ears now!! I didn't have a pattern and totally winged the whole project but I am actually quite happy with it. There are a few things that I would alter if I attempt another one , like making the ties a bit longer but overall I think it is ok. The idea was to have it for market days to keep my pen, paper, business cards etc in. I have embellished the pocket with some of my resin shapes which I drilled to make large buttons. So here it is.
