Glimpse of Christmas - My present!!!

It's tomorrow!! It's tomorrow!!!! Can you Believe it???
Well I am happy because my very long awaited Rocker Recliner has finally arrived
Just in time for Christmas
I have been waiting over 4 months for it while my Hubby got his the day after we bought them.
You see I wasn't happy to have a black, brown, grey, beige...blah, blah, blah boring colour
I wanted a Red One!!!!
So in order to make it in my choice of colour
I had to Wait.
But the wait is over and here it is looking very Christmassy!!!

So this is where I am sitting right now typing this post and ahhhhh it is so comfy.
Merry Christmas Everyone and thanks for your comments and support over this past year.
Love Del xo

glimpse of Christmas - 2 Days to go.

I thought I would try out a pixie hat pattern - I thought it looked a bit funny until my girl
spied it and put it on.
I think it really suits her and she hasn't taken it off all day.
Nothing says Christmas like a Bowl Of Cherries...and this is ours.

Glimpse of Christmas - 3 Days to go.

Here we are on the final countdown to Christmas. I hope all your preparations for the big day are going well. I really think it is the little things with lots of thought that make the day special. The same goes for decorations - I love the things that the kids make.
This little reindeer was made a couple of years ago when my youngest girl was in pre-school.
I am surprised his little antlers have stayed in one piece!!!
It is so simple - A toilet roll, sparkly pom-pom, and sticks!!! But I think it is so cute.

Secret Santa - 6 Days to go.

This year I put my hand up to participate in the Etsy Dust Team Secret Santa. None of us could actually wait until Christmas to open our gifts so we have been having fun sharing photos of the gifts as they are received. My parcel arrived yesterday from Bee @ Witchetty. Of course I had no idea she was my Secret Santa and the item she made for me was on her blog a few days ago - I loved it so much and wanted to buy it...all the time not being aware that she had actually made it for me!!! I will not keep you in suspense any longer.
Here it is.

Bee has also let me know that this item was featured on Cuteable.com today
Her first feature - Fabulous!!

Our Secret Santa parcel was to include a gift, a card and a xmas recipe.

Meet Some Dusters

I belong to a team of Australian Etsy sellers called D.U.S.T (down under street team). Usually we just chat online, but today some of us got to meet each other face to face at the Denmark River Market day. It was a hot day but we had a lovely river behind us and beautiful big shady trees.
This was my first time doing a market on my own (previously I have shared a table with Samara aka Maddabling ) ...so here are some photos of how it looked.

The kids were entertained!

What a generous Gal is Lisa xo

I entered into Lisa's blog giveaway last month over at Lil Sonny Sky and was lucky enough to be one of her winners. Well today whilst in my pre-market flurry the postman knocked on the door with a parcel from the UK. It was from Lisa, and boy oh boy has she spoilt me. I never cease to be amazed at the generousity of some people - Lisa I am sending you lots of virtual hugs!!! Thankyou so much.
The package was so beautifully wrapped in ribbon with a handmade cards which reads
"Open me up, quickly....come on, hurry up!! xxx"
So I got into a panic and tried to get the ribbon off quickly...he he he he...
There were so many lovely items inside made by this very talented girl. I have been spoilt with screen printed christmas cards, gift tags,
Two of her original screen prints which are just so adorable - They will be getting framed!!

I love the labelling on the tags
"very posh"
Lisa has lots of these goodies in her etsy store LISASTUBBS, so pop on over and take a look. They are all truly amazing. I can not thankyou enough lisa.

Is it really December already?

I can't believe it! The year has gone so fast, and this month is packed with end of year things to do. I am off on a school camp tomorrow, roughing it for a few days. Then I will be knuckling down and getting all the last minute preparation done for my first "solo" market.
You can find me at the
DENMARK RIVER MARKETS - SAT DEC 12TH
This is one of cutest tupperware items I have, and he only gets to come out of the cupboard for one month of the year - although I must confess he has been known to stick around for january too :0)... On the reverse side of the canisters is a snowman - but I like the cheery santa side the best.

Cruise time.....

Our town has seen quite a few Cruise Ships come into Port over the last month - And my girls and I never tire of going up to the hill and watching the boats leave . It is such an awesome sight as they pass through the channel and the top of the boat is higher than the hill either side. We wave them off on their journey and the ship gives a big toot as it leaves. This one below was in town yesterday.
Just gone through the channel out into the big wide sea
Looking down onto our town from the lookout on our hill
Our wonderful harbour and the gigantic cruise ship

Hard Case Part 2 - Upcycling!! See what I have done

Well , I have had a successful day in finishing off a few things - so first of all here is the Old Case that I have been giving a makeover. It is so much cooler now! I have just given it a coat of gold on the inside which is still drying so I couldn't get too many more pics.

I also finished off sanding my backlog of bangles and rings - I might list them after my next market - but if you see something there you like let me know and I can list it in store for you.
And while I was waiting for my last lot of resin to be delivered which was on back order , I had some spare time...... So I made up a dolly pattern and created these little raggy dolls to go to market with me. Their cheery little faces will brighten up the table.
And another project I had on the list was finished today too - I picked up this old bath during the council verge collection (this is where everyone chucks out their junk onto the verge, incase you don't have that in your town) and I have painted it and potted it up with herbs.
this is another item I picked up from verge collection - It too is going to get a makeover!!! I will show you this when it is done :0)
