Suds it Up

Well I was thinking I would like something a little different to brighten up the bathroom and to put my lovely soaps on. So this is what I made - a resin soap dish .
This one is an ocean theme - lots of shells, some pearls, a chain and gold button and a little fish swimming in the middle - pearly white and blue coloured .

And this one is a little more vintage or glam. A peacock feather sits behind pearls , beads and buttons

I would love to hear your thoughts on these -
If you think I should put some in store -
How much you would pay and any ideas on other themes or
What you would like in your soap dish.

Op Shop Finds

Half the fun of finding something wonderful at the op-shop is being able to share it with someone. These are my purchases from last week.

A cute little set of porcelain and wood Oil & Vinegar Jugs and Pepper shaker -the salt one was missing but that is not good for us anyway. Also the Retro tupperware platter with bowl that clicks onto the middle so it doesn't slide around when serving.
Next, I couldn't go past this teapot stand - it was calling out my name
The teapot is one from my collection but just used it to demonstrate the stand - perfect match.
and then I found some lovely hand embroidered doilies and smock apron - the amount of work that went into these needs to be appreciated

Silver Spirals - Urban Stirling Silver Earrings by Epheriell

I have had my eye on these earrings for a while, and tonight I bought them.
Jess at Epheriell is currently having a Wedding Countdown sale (only 4 weeks to go). So if you like these check out her store for lots of other lovely jewellery

Crystal clear resin with flecks of sparkly glitter encase a vintage strand of beads. This is so stunning - the beads are all shades of blue in various styles . This bangle would look just as fabulous with a ball gown as it would with a summer frock . This is Modern Glam . Check it out now in store

t 4 2 - tuesday

OMG - it's Tuesday already.
Well it just so happens that I don't have to dust today because during this last week my Dust-Team Craftswap item arrived from my partner Chrisy from Artdecadence. I had seen in her shop that she had some decals on ceramics and that she had done a teapot before , so I sent her a special request and Ta Dah!!! She came through with it. What a fabulous surprise I got when it arrived - it is so amazing and one I will cherish forever. Thanks Chrisy xo

Alice In Wonderland - themed teapot. Ain't it just the sweetest.

Sophie Isobel Designs

Is giving away one of her lovely brooches. pop on over to her blog to enter.

Just one of those days hanging out inside, the fire on, looking out the window and listening to the rain.
Souls And Rain-Drops by Sidney Lanier
Light rain-drops fall and wrinkle the sea,
Then vanish, and die utterly.
One would not know that rain-drops fell
If the round sea-wrinkles did not tell.

So souls come down and wrinkle life
And vanish in the flesh-sea strife.
One might not know that souls had place
Were't not for the wrinkles in life's face.

T 4 2 - tuesday

"Have some wine," the March Hare said in an encouraging tone.
Alice looked all round the table, but there was nothing on it but tea. "I don't see any wine," she remarked.
"There isn't any" said the March Hare......

While the nonsense continues at the Mad Hatters Teaparty I will dust off a few more teapots and we shall have
T 4 2.

Well I simply must wear a teaspoon pendant for the teaparty.
What's cooking in the pot today - It smells delightful - A roast dinner perhaps...
And it is too wet outside to hang that washing, so we will just put it infront of the fire for a while...
And lets drink some tea.

A very merry un-birthday to you...

I won't be late...be late..for a very important date....Yes it is going to be a long wait but on March 5th 2010 I will be lined up to see
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
and this sneak preview is just a taste of what we will see in Wonderland....
Just enough to make me curiouser and curiouser...

And, for anyone who knows me you would know that Teapots are definately my bag baby, so I might just have to have my own Mad Hatters Teaparty to celebrate

Now we can't have a teaparty without a teaspoon so
I present to you my new series of mini spoon pendants
THE little ALICE collection.

"We planted white roses by mistake, and the Queen will have our heads unless we change them all to red!"
"I'm late. I'm late for a very important date. No time to say hello, goodbye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late...
Drink Me - With just one sip Alice shrank so small....

The Nonsense at The Mad Hatters Teaparty..
"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!
Up above the world you fly
Like a tea-tray in the sky."
So there you have my sneak preview of
The little ALICE collection
Now in store - the perfect thing to wear to the movie opening or to your own Tea Party.

A LOVEly Treasury
