Dust Team Craft Swap - No 8

For the latest craft-swap for DUST (Australian Etsy Seller Team) I was partnered with Sophee from SMOG. She specialises in crochet, and as it is always me that gets all the goodies for craft-swap I thought this time my girls could have the fun. So Sophee asked me if they had any requests - When they came up with a Blue Monkey and a Purple Giraffe I wasn't sure how Sophee would go coming up with the goods. But she did an amazing job and needless to say the girls were ecstatic. Blue Monkey has gone to school today (smuggled into the bottom of the bag).

And she also included a cute pair of crochet cherry earrings for me.
Thanks Sophee xo

A crafty idea..

This is certainly not an original idea, but I was cleaning out my craft room and had a stack of resin bangles that just didn't make the final cut. I had been reluctant to throw them out , but what to do with them was the question.
Well here they are all nice and snuggly . I have wool wrapped and finished them off with buttons.

I have opened up a new store for my Spoon Creations..I wanted to separate the spoons from my other work, and will be moving all my Spoon Pendants across to the new store eventually.

Today I got Rainbowed!!

In the post today I received my order from Rainbow Revolution. Some lovely scarves that I bought for gifts (I already have 3 of my own).
And these Happy Leggings!! - How can you not smile in these. I had to chop my head out of the picture as I got my daughter to take the photos and I didn't get any with my eyes open.

The desk make-over continues....

Here is what I have done.
The sewing book that came with the desk has been cut up, as well as another old dressmaking pattern book I had. I used these to decoupage the top of the desk and drawer. It has had several coats of varnish on it but is not quite ready to be put in it's new spot. There is a bit of a repair needed to the fold up section on the side. When this is done I will show you a final picture.

Desk Make-over part 1

I picked this little sewing table up at a Garage Sale on the weekend - looks pretty boring hey. Well don't despair as this crafty chick has big ideas for a make-over.
Inside the drawer there was a little treasure of bits and pieces of sewing gear including this old sewing manual. Wait until you see what I have planned for this book.
And here is some of the things that were in the drawer

Not a bad find hey. Stay tuned tomorrow to see how the make-over is going.

Thats what friends are for

It is so lovely when things arrive out of the blue. Today was one of those days! These gorgeous flowers turned up at my door today, a thoughtful gift from my sweet friend Samara (MADDABLING).

The reason for them is that our new addition, little bunny Hiccup is very unwell. We are thankful that he made it through the night but he is not in the clear just yet.
A perfect gift to brighten our day

A fabulous weekend. Markets, Wine, Music....

After a day of heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds I was unsure just how the easter weekend was going to turn out. But as luck would have it, the sun shone down on us for a perfect market day on the Denmark River.
My Market Stall with the tranquil river behind
I had the company of Karen NewEarthSoaps on the stall next to me.
My Easter Bunnies.

The next day we went to a winery to chill out and watch
Xave Brown play some great tunes.
It just so happens as an extra bonus for me that they were having a Teapot Exhibition
at the winery.
Here are some of the teapots on display.

You could make a huge brew with this one.
Xave Brown and his son, who plays a mean bongo. We were about this close from the band - scored the front table. Nice.

Hope you all had a great weekend too.
